Congratulations on your pregnancy! I would be delighted and honoured to support you and your growing baby throughout your pregnancy journey.
Throughout pregnancy, your body goes through many hormonal and physiological changes so it is important that any exercises you do are safe, effective and uplifting.
In my bespoke, specifically adapted yoga classes you will learn safe and gentle postures that will boost your confidence and self-esteem and gently increase your strength and stamina, preparing you for the birth of your baby.
Pregnancy yoga classes are currently taking place every Tuesday evening from 6:30-7:30 pm where we spend 45 minutes gently stretching, strengthening and energising our bodies and then allow ourselves to totally relax for 15 minutes with a guided meditation or relaxation.
These classes are suitable from 13+ weeks and you do not need to have any previous yoga experience.
Classes are £5.50 if you choose to pay as you go or you can purchase a block of 4 weeks for £20, saving you £2!
“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.” Osho
Becoming a new mummy changes your life dramatically. Your body has done an incredible job growing and birthing your beautiful baby and has gone through massive hormonal and physical changes. It will never feel the same again and that is ok because, with the birth of your baby, you became something absolutely new...a mummy!!!
It is a time of joy and love but it can also be totally overwhelming. As a mother your needs are generally put to the side as you nurture and tend to the needs of your new-born baby.
As mummies, we have an enormous opportunity to set a great example to our children of how to be kind to ourselves, and in turn, how to be kind to others. As the saying goes, we can't pour from an empty cup. Let your little ones be your motivation for showing up for yourself, not an excuse not to
Postnatal yoga is a great way to gently introduce your body to exercise again post-pregnancy and take some much-needed time out...just for 1 hour! Your body has been through so many changes and my classes are carefully tailored to support your body after doing a miraculous job growing, birthing and looking after your baby.
Postnatal yoga classes are currently taking place every Tuesday evening from 7:45-8:45 pm where we spend 45 minutes gently stretching, restoring energy and allowing our bodies to gently recover from pregnancy, birth and day to day mothering. This is then followed by 15 minutes of total stillness and relaxation!
These classes are suitable from 6 weeks post-birth or 12 weeks post-birth if you have had a caesarean, episiotomy, forceps or 3rd/4th degree tearing. You do not need to have any previous yoga experience.
Classes are £5.50 if you choose to pay as you go or you can purchase a block of 4 weeks for £20, saving you £2!
These yoga classes are carefully planned to include both you and your baby, allowing you to exercise with your baby, reduce your stress levels, improve your health and connect with other mummies. During these classes, we will focus on stretches to gently recover and strengthen your postnatal body and fun movements and stretches for baby, incorporating nursery rhymes, stories and play.
I create a relaxed, fun environment where you can feed or change your baby whenever you need to and keep your little one happy.
